tick tock, tick tock

oh baby forget the clock. . .

I attended a lot of funerals in 2009.

After awhile, I kinda wondered, why don't I have a permanent memorial page for my loved ones past? I pay tribute every day when I remember them, so why not let everyone else remember them, too? Our passed loved ones are never truly gone (granted they're probably not surfing the web), as long as we don't forget them. Blessed at a very young age with seeing and hearing the things most people only imagine, I've kinda grown up knowing that we're not alone in this world. We need to open the gates and let them communicate with us. We need to appreciate their presence, and we need to validate that they're still here. With the gates wide open between us, there's no telling who you'll get to see or meet.

When I come to the end of the road
And the sun has set for me
I want no rites in a gloom-filled room.
Why cry for a soul set free?

Miss me a little--but not too long
And not with your head bowed low.
Remember the love that we once shared,
Miss me--but let me go.

For this is a journey that we all must take
And each must go alone.
It's all a part of the Master's plan,
A step on the road to home.

When you are lonely and sick of heart
Go to the friends we know
And bury your sorrows in doing good deeds.
Miss Me--But Let me Go!
